How it works

When operating a manufacturing process, a wide variety of events can occur. This can include but is not limited to:

• the start and finish of a production operation or step
• the start of finish of an interruption
• the moving of a product through a production line

The Litmus Production Record Database is designed to allow Customers full freedom to record exactly this wide range of events also known as Production Records. The data are stored in an ISA 88 compliant data model / hierarchy. This is enhanced by an option to store data also in a time series like structure together with customizable meta data. While not having to commit to a full historian deployment.

Out of the box, Litmus Production Record Database provides predefined stored procedures and functions to read data from and share data with other applications like Bi-tools, Visualization software or software for analytics. Allowing to spend more time on working with the data and spend less time on writing SQL statements.

From Version 1.4.0.0 onward, Litmus Production Record Database allows the ingestion of data coming from Litmus Edge Digital Twin. To make use of this feature, users will also have to deploy the companion solution Litmus Production Record Digital Twin Message Conversion Flow.
